Smash Hits! are a unique and entertaining tribute to the golden era of early 90s dance, pop and R‘n’B. This Dublin six-piece comprises experienced musicians performing the best of classic tracks from famous artists such as Technotronic
Vanilla Ice, C&C Music Factory, MC Hammer, House of Pain and Snap. Fully decked out in 90s outfits and possessing an energetic set overflowing with chart hits, Smash Hits! are a throwback to a feelgood time of old skool nightclub DJs, all-night raves and packed out dance floors.
Since bursting onto the club scene in May 2009 the band have been offered a residency in top Dublin venue Tripod and were the talk of the 2009 festival circuit with blistering sets at both Oxegen and Electric Picnic. The band’s popularity continued to grow with sell-out performances at Dublin’s Crawdaddy and The Sugar Club while the autumn saw Smash Hits! taking on the rest of the country with gigs and residencies in Galway, Cork, Limerick, Naas and Donegal.
The band is quickly gaining popularity akin to Push Pops, Pogs and Pop Tarts, so grab your bum bag, bleach the tips of your hair, be a Fresh Prince or a Clueless Betty and totally check out Smash Hits!….or whatever.

Just dropping a quick line in relation to the BubbleGum Ball to say a massive thank you for helping us out on the night. Smash Hits were absolutely fantastic and everyone we’ve been talking to absolutely loved it. The band was perfect for the crowd going and helped the night be a massive success. Phil Udell was brillliant as DJ too and continued on the night after Smash Hits perfectly.
We really appreciate the help you’ve given us and know that the band helped massively in raising as much as possible for the charity. There was about 730 at the event in the end for the BubbleGum Club
