1) First come, first served
When it comes to quality musicians, you can be sure they are always in high demand. A lot of our bands book out a year or two years in advance, and it’s no wonder why. If you and your partner have your heart set on a particular band, our advice would be to get them booked asap! In the last couple of years, we have noticed a massive increase in people booking their wedding date around the availability of their favourite band. Now if that doesn’t show the importance of quality music, I don’t know what does.
2) Questions questions questions
Questions questions questions! The more you can ask the better! At the end of the day, this is your big moment, and it’s so important to talk with your booker about any requirements you may have, no matter how big or small. They are the wedding entertainment experts, and have years of experience under their belts. Let your booker tailor the entertainment exactly how you always imagined it. Whether it’s about song requests, band size, instruments, outfits, or whatever else you can think of - get asking! That way, you can be sure of no surprises on your big day.
3) Do your research
4) Get a Contract
When booking the wedding entertainment it is important to have signed contract, although we are bias in this matter going with a booking agency its always safer as you get a professional booker to handle all the details for your special day and a contract that allows you to ensure you will get what you hired on the day.
